Garden Party

New to South O's PTO events is our annual garden party & concert. This event is held every September and is one of the biggest fundraising events of the year. You can expect live music, great local cuisine, arts and crafts, games and so much more. Come and learn about our beautiful gardens and find out how you can help out.

Fall Carnival

One of our biggest fundraisers for our school! Held in October, The night is filled with family-friendly fun from games and hay mazes, to great food and entertainment.  Funds raised from Carnival support the schools need for library books, PE equipment, and classroom supplies.

Car Show

Another one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, the Annual South O Car, Motorcycle, Hotrod, & boat show. Stay tuned for more info!

 

Jog-a-Thon

We are hoping to have the jog a thon in late spring, crossing our fingers! Stay tuned!

Earth Day

Earth day takes place in April and our committee works each year to put on educational activities for the students.  Contact our Green Team committee chair, Christy Molenkamp if you’re interested in helping with this event.

Book Fair

Our Book Fairs are scheduled for Fall & Spring to help fundraise for our school library!  Discounted books and magazines are available, along with teacher “wish-lists”, and proceeds provide much-needed resources for the library.  We’re always looking for volunteers to help run our book fair, so please reach out if interested in helping!

Student of the Month

Each month teachers select two students from their class who not only follow our school rules of Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Responsible, but also go above and beyond in the areas of scholarly behavior in the classroom and on the playground. This committee puts together the rewards presented at our monthly Pride Assembly to honor these students.

Garden

South O Elementary is home to 4 distinctive gardens to help students learn concepts relating to stewardship, nutrition, and scientific discovery.  We’re always looking for donations and help in our garden area. Please reach out if you’re interested in helping!

Read-A-Thon

This years read a thon will go towards the children's 5th grade camp fund! It will be held in October, stay tuned for more info!
