Why We Fundraise & How Your Donations are Used

By fostering relationships among the school, parents, and teachers, it is our goal to enhance the educational experience by raising funds to provide additional equipment, services, and special projects for the school.


Each year the PTO spends approximately $80 on your student(s) for these items.

  • Supplies for the classroom

    (paper, pencils, glue, crayons, and other art supplies)

  • Field Trips

  • Curriculum/Technology

  • Copy Paper for the Campus

  • School Enrichment Programs

  • Campus Improvements

PTO would like to invite you to participate in Direct Donations for your child. 100% of the money collected goes straight toward alleviating the $80 per student expense.

The Garden Concert, Carnival, Car Show, Restaurant Nights, See’s Candy and various other fundraisers throughout the year raise money for South O students; however, they are not as impactful as your direct donation. 

All fundraising and direct donations are used to fund the $80 per student expense. Excess funds will go toward the improvement of the school’s field choices during recess and lunch, with the main goal to develop a running track.


Donations can be made via check or cash by downloading this form and returning it to your child's teacher or the front office along with your donation.


Monthly payments are also an option should you prefer to give in installments throughout the year. All direct donations collected are tax deductible.
